Roxy Jamin, b. 2001 is based in Los Angeles California. After studying for a year at Carnegie Mellon's School of Art, she will be attending the Cooper Union for Art in the Fall of 2021. Her practice utilizes a multimedia approach in an integrated and fluid attempt to "dig into both the elusive and the rational (without) denying the unknown." She aims to investigate the existing and potential systems of knowledge that are used to understand and explain liminal spaces.
She has won the National YoungArts Gold Award and was a finalist in Design for her costume work, as well as Scholastic Art and Writing Award National Silver Medals in Painting, Fashion, Portfolio, and Drawing, and has shown work in LACE Gallery, The Frame Gallery, Harlan Gallery, Human Resources Los Angeles, Coagula Curatorial, and the Mistake Room Los Angeles, among others.
She would like to thank the Museum of Jurassic Technology, The Bob Baker Marionette Theatre, and The National YoungArts Foundation for their ongoing support.
